People · Bophut, Koh Samui

Where coffee, people and ideas come together.

The village is a real place with a real bar. Come for the coffee; stay because of who you meet.

Where we meet

A coffee bar, a roastery and a room for ideas.

Roastery Village started in Bophut in 2021, and in 2026 we came back. It is the home of the brand — somewhere to drink good coffee, watch coffee being made properly, meet people and test ideas before they become plans.

It is also the room where our commercial work gets pressure-tested. Every blend, recipe and routine we recommend to a hotel is one we run here first, in front of guests who have no reason to be polite about it.

The village idea

Coffee is the common language.

The village is more than a retail location. It is where we reconnect with old friends and build a network around coffee — one that runs naturally into everything else people here are making.

Art & design

Wall space, launches and collaborations with makers working on the island.

Wellness & fitness

Morning groups, run clubs and the people who need a decent coffee at the end of it.

Property & business

Where a lot of Samui business actually gets discussed — over a table, not a spreadsheet.

Gatherings

Tastings, cuppings and small evenings for people who want to understand coffee better.

Coffee education

Sessions for home brewers and for teams from other venues — brewing, milk and machine care.

Stories from Samui

The people, the producers and the projects worth writing down.

Customer story · Izzy's Coffee, Koh Samui

“If you can't find it, build it.”

Michael Kane opened Izzy's Coffee with one aim: to build the kind of coffee experience he'd want to sit down to himself. Everything since has been about learning to deliver it consistently.

He started out expecting it to be simple — at the time he did not know the word portafilter. What changed was the work behind it: days of training, farm visits in Chiang Mai, and learning to read a roast before designing a single drink around it. Today he builds every drink backwards, starting from the flavour notes already in the bean. That is the difference between serving coffee and understanding it.

Having a partner like Mpresso, like RV, is invaluable … until you understand the core pieces of how coffee works, you're going to struggle. But once you crack that, and you have a partner that can guide you through that process, the rest of it becomes really just understanding business and marketing and consistency.

Got something you want to do here?

A pop-up, an exhibition, a class, a launch, a morning club, a project that needs a room and a decent coffee machine — the village works best when other people bring things to it.

Tell us what you have in mind. We are more interested in whether it is a good idea than in how big it is.

Come and have a coffee.

No appointment, no agenda. If you run a venue and want to see how we work before we ever talk about a contract, that is the best possible reason to visit.
